AGF Consulting Group is tasked to facilitate this ISO certification project with the different Chiefs of Hospitals (COH) across the entire province of Cebu.
“We had a focused-group discussion with the different COH of Cebu province for the past two-days. It is important that each hospital should have a common understanding of the requirements, principles and concepts of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. We initially assess the current quality management system of each hospital vis-a-vis the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.” Said Jong Fernandez, principal consultant of AGF Consulting Group.
The standardisation project shall cover 17 hospitals across the province of Cebu. While this may be quite a daunting scope, the strategy of the office is to focus first on four provincial hospitals which include the Provincial Hospitals of Carcar, Bogo, Danao, and Balamaban. The Administration Division of Cebu Provincial Health Office will lead the ISO certification process.
“Establishment of a robust QMS is needed for us to efficiently deliver health services to the citizens of Cebu province. The initial ISO 9001:2015 focused-group discussion among Chiefs of Hospitals truly is beneficial for us.” said Jesse James Embalzado of Cebu Provincial Health Office.
ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the 9000 family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity.*
